Re: Peter O'Toole

Yet another 'Great' actor has passed. As people have said, he was superb in his first 'epic' - as Lawrence, I too remember "Murphy's war", "The Lion in Winter" was another 'epic' film of his and virtually everything he touched became popular. Yes he was, like Richard Harris also known as a 'Hell Raiser', but that too is what made him and his passing is sad, the theatre world will sorely miss him.

Re: Peter O'Toole

I too remember him for Murphy's Law and Lawrence of Arabia.
A flamboyant actor who will be sadly missed, they don't make them like that anymore.
RIP Peter

BIB: Isn't that the truth; they can make some of todays top actors look very one-dimensional.

RIP Peter - your contribution to life will be long remembered.

Re: Peter O'Toole

Everyone says that the most 'iconic' scene from 'el aurence' is the one where Sharif appears across the desert, but to me there were actually two others, O'Toole coming down the dune shouting 'no prisoners' and the scene where he is walking along the top of the train. And those blue eyes, 'ai ai ai'.
