Yes Carol it's a good feeling, and construction is one of the better careers in that regard because the monuments that you build will almost always outlive you, so in effect a little bit of you lives on after your death in everything that you have built..
my ancestors built many buildings such as Mills etc
in the Industrial Revolution which are still standing today.
Blackburn Town Hall and many other buildings.
Sad that even though my life work in education hopefully made a difference to many people there is nothing physically standing.
Well I can enjoy the work that my ancestors did!
