Is Brexit over ??

Is Brexit over?
Or is there still another five and a half years to go??
indications are we shall still be "negotiating for more than five more
years, which is the projected time for full control over our borders?
Can we wait that long?
Will it be kicked down the road again ?
Have we been deceived again?

Hi

Brexit is not over, that is the nature of things.

We are however no longer part of the EU, not subject to EU Law and free to go our own way.

When you can describe what Brexit means in a manner which most people will agree with you might get an answer, but as I'm sure you realise that is unlikely.
Brexit is over inasmuch as we have left the EU.
However, Brexit will never be truly "over" since we are unlikely to ever sever all ties with either the EU or with member countries of the EU.
I should point out that we would not have done so even in the event of a "hard" Brexit.
Trade would continue, for example.
Perhaps in a different manner, but it most assuredly would.

What you are suggesting five-and-a-half years for is IMHO disingenuous.
We are out now.
If we wanted to save that supposed five-and-a-half years, we could.
I'd like to see you try to convince a majority of voters that the consequences of doing so are acceptable enough to implement that plan.

But if you feel strongly enough (and I'm sure you will not be alone in that) you can vote for the successor to The Brexit Party: Reform UK.

I am waiting for Boris to come out with the raft of reforms and
Brexit adjustments you hinted at Zaph? Although he is snowed under
by covid chaos at the moment he surely must release some details
soon on his post Brexit plans??
As for voting for the reform party that will take almost as long as
getting control of our borders again under current arrangements !!
I think the EU Analysed our politicians precisely !!
The potential for a decent Brexit is still there but it is too distant
for the average voter to believe in ??
