Council tax

Anyone else got their 2013 Council tax notification ?

Ours is up £9 on last year which isn't too bad. This is inclusive of water and sewage rates.

Re: Council tax

Are you sure about that GW. I thought that water and sewage bills had been separated from council tax many years ago.

Re: Council tax

We are still waiting for Council Tax notification...

Our Water and Sewage bill comes separately and I'm dreading seeing what it's increased by this year

Re: Council tax

I haven't had my CT bill, it won't come till the end of the month. The water bill came though and that has gone up a bit.

Re: Council tax

Ours is due any day now and if it has only gone up by £9 p.a. I'll be very pleased, although I think it is unlikely. Our water/sewage comes separately and we are on a water meter which works out cheaper these days as there's only the two of us.

Re: Council tax

Just waiting for mine. I have 2 water bills one for water supply and one for waste, surely it would be cheaper to include this in one bill.

Re: Council tax

What I should have said is that the bill is itemised - Council tax, water rates & waste rates are shown seperately.
However, they are added and paid as one bill to the county council.
The total for the 3 charges has only gone up by £9 since last year.
Council tax is just over £1000, water & waste rates together come to about £350 - Band C. A lot less than I paid in Hampshire!

No water meters in our area and although we have mains services, many houses have private water supplies and septic tanks.

Re: Council tax

We haven't got our CT bill yet, and it doesn't include the water rates, they are seperate.
