Re: What book are you reading now?

"Damaged" by Martina Cole.

It's a bit of a jerky read as it has very short chapters - some of them only half a page long - so it doesn't exactly flow - but it is interesting enough to keep me reading.

First one of hers I have ever read - and only just started this one - so we'll see how it pans out.

Simpson Returns by Wayne Macauley.
A little quirky and darkly humurous... Just started but so far a not onerous and a good read...

"The Colours of All the Cattle" by Alexander McCall Smith. I' ve been waiting ages for the library to get it in, then read in the bumph there's a new one out already!
I'll have to wait months for that now
I love his books especially the "No 1 Ladies' Detective" series. He has the African character down to a T.

Re: What book are you reading now?

I have rather belatedly discovered Jane Harper.

She has three books out that I know of The Dry, Force of Nature and The Lost Man.

I am in the middle of The Lost Man - I haven't read the others but it is an absorbing book and I find it hard to put down definitely a good read.
