Incidentally, don't imagine that I am anti-Scottish; I have relatives in Scotland and enjoy the company of Scots in our local branch of the RSCDS.

The eu has morphed into the fourth reich. It is fundementaly undemocratic and corrupt on several levels not least in the way that the euro is being used as a blunt instrument.

It has become the new axis of evil.

Re: Boris v Hunt? My prediction!

With the tory leadership results coming this week,
and Boris touted as getting a walkover victory, l still stand
by my original prediction and think we are in for a surprise
this coming week! in spite of, or because of, all the polls
finding Boris as favourite?
However, l still believe the result is irrelavant as the situation
in POSHOC has not changed and to achieve brexit we need
a complete change via a general election? And we must
hope the electorate has not forgotten all the shenanigans
of the last three yrs by the time we get one!!

Yes, the electorate needs a concerted effort by the press, in the few months before the GE, to remind them of everything that has happened over the past three years.

But l dont think my preferance, ( Boris ) will win it? Because
the majority of tories are remainers at heart, and imo Hunt
is a dyed in the wool remainer, so most tories will vote for
him? This will be a disaster for brexit as l believe he will
continue with the mad cows policy of kick the can down
the road despite all his protestations to the contrary?
However, either of them still have to get any sort of a
policy past a truculent POSHOC!
We will soon see how much of my prediction comes true?

don't worry by the time Boris has stuttered and spluttered his way through his speech all members will be fast asleep the interpreters will have cut their wrist through frustration trying to understand him

Very true. Although we have newspapers across the political spectrum from right to left, all of our TV news programmes seem to be left-leaning - and in the case of the BBC, hard left! I'm not sure why that should be though. Interesting.
