Re: Pregnancy At 60

I truly admire folk over 60 who give a home to young people - I couldn't do it - the mind is willing, but the body ain't what it used to be.............

I sure wouldn't want to be!
You have to look at it from the kid's side also - it wouldn't be fair to them.
Say the parents had 20 - 30 years left, that's still way too soon to lose them.

Pregnant at 60? Heck NO! I reckon that the first 60 years of my life were governed by the needs and wishes of others. This is my time now - and I intend to enjoy it - that does not include being pregnant - though trying might be fun!!

Are you mad? I was over 40 when I had my last kid that was bad enough.

You would be 76 when they finished High School. Imagine driving a child to footie or netball every weekend in your 70s or attending little athletics, never mind attending P&C meetings, no thanks.

And as I said earlier that can happen at any age, I was raised by my grandparents sometimes the other options are worse than being raised by older people.

I completely agree.
I was referring to getting pregnant at 60.

If I was childless & longing for a baby then yes I suppose I would. However I'm not and I don't!!
How about men though? They can be fathers at any age!
