Re: Gay marriage

Whoever ok'd the plans to put a sewer works next to a playground must have taken a backhander.

I'm ok with what happens behind closed doors....but I don't much like overt displays in public....whether hetro or gay.

I'm Australian, so we don't call it "the High Street". Of course we have sex shops, and I've browsed them in the past, but I have no interest in visiting them now.

Hell, if I haven't figured out what I want to do by now, I never will!

I absolutely agree with you

Hmmm, subtle ageism, but I'll let it go....

No not the least bit ageist, at least not intentionally, sorry if it came across that way

What is it to do with, then, Ruthio? What social force turns perversions into normalcy? If there is one, which perversion is next? Or are we stopping at homosexuality? I doubt that very much!

Well the only thing i can think of to say here is one person's perversion is another's normal, I'm happy to accept that, and it has absolutely nothing to do with homosexuality. Just one's own sexual preferences.

I worked with gays for years, there's not much shocks me now!
In the main they were all lovely gentle and kind men. But very naughty and at times hilariously funny.

See, there it is. You are extremely defensive of homosexuality, (and I don't know what other perversions), yet you make sure to declare your own "innocence" of them.

Where did I give that impression?
I'm just a live and let live person.

If you didn't have a personal aversion to it, you wouldn't add those disclaimers, Ruthio.

Aha!! You see, it's all in the perception!
My disclaimer was nothing to do with homosexuality, it referred to my own sexual preferences. Do I like anal, double, oral, swinging, dogging, hanging from a hook...nobodys business but mine.

Actually when it comes to gender preferences I'd describe myself as straight as a Roman road.
Now you'll be telling me that statement reveals my abhorrence of gays...It doesn't!!

Please yourself, as far as I am concerned homosexuals are as 'normal' as anyone else and what is 'normal' anyway .

My best friend when I was growing up was 'gay', I had never heard the word then but from 4 years old he preferred to play with the girls, dolls and dressing up and because of this his father a tough man who had been in the scots guards beat him to make him 'more of a man'.
His childhood and youth was made miserable by people like you who classed his his sexual preference as a perversion.

People don't choose how they are born, sexual orientation is thought by many scientists to be determined during fetal development.
Here is some research on the subject of Prenatal endocrine influences on sexual orientation .
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3296090/
There are lots more scientific papers on the subject the hormonal effects on sexual orientation if you care to look them up.

My friend died some years ago, he had a lifelong same sex partner that he met at university so I think you could say he was happily married for most of his life.

I don't believe that. It's just promoted to make gay sex sound more appealing and attractive.
There'll always be someone who will try the odd experiment but not as a natural and enjoyable practice. Gays surely are mainly limited to 'comfortable' oral sex whilst the women use sex toy appendages.

As I said on another forum once ... own up and hands up anyone who likes anal sex.
Form an orderly queue behind me if you don't .. as I don't.
Actually morti it is becoming more popular especially among the young Christians who believe in absteinance, it's really really popular in USA in under 16 s girls persuaded they are still virgins if they use that method.

I think internet porn has a lot to do with the fashion too.

Hi

Given the topic of your post Morti perhaps you would have been better asking them to join a queue in front of you.

No no, come on, Ruthio, let's not be tap-dancing!

We were talking about homosexuality, you were talking about homosexuality. And right at the end of your post about homosexuality, you added a disclaimer.

Come on now...

Re: Gay marriage

Anyway I can never understand why anyone else cares what a person does in their bedroom. Gay people are pretty fussy they aren't going to be coming onto anyone doesn't really want it IMO so the fears some have are just ego, no one is after you just let them do what they need and you do what makes you happy.
