It isn't possible to accomodate all 5 billion in the better countries and so why should the law breakers who enter illegally be given priority?
I respect the President of El Salvador who said the death of the young man and his daughter in the Rio Grande was the fault of HIS country and HIS Government for not creating a safe nation and opportunities and not the fault of Trump or the USA,.
First step on the path to a better future for his nation, hopefully.
Well said.
Present situation =
5 billion living in crap countries
2 billion living in pleasant countries
Do-gooders' proposed situation =
7 billion living in crap countries
What do they hope to achieve?
Another thing to consider is why are some countries crap whilst others are pleasant?
Perhaps it's something to do with the people who live in them.
Marge's father, now dead, was a sergeant major in West Africa some years ago and described seeing the indigenous people just lying about in the sun. Yes, it's hot and dry, but yet Africa has some of the best farmland in the world. And they've been living like that for hundreds of years.
Over the same period, enterprising people in Europe (especially the UK) were inventing and developing the technology to make us the 'workshop of the world'. And, yes, we had poverty too but we have managed to improve our lot.
