Hope Our Love Lasts And Never Dies
Sounds innocent in these coarse & in-yer-face times.It was the acronym that spelt HOLLAND, & it was written on the back of 1950s & 1960's love letters.
Of course there were some wags who overstepped just a little way over into indecency, but what the heck.
I can't remember all of them. I used NORWICH** on more than one occasion . The postie had a jingle which went DEAR OLD POSTIE DONT BE SLOW but it isnt an acronym.
BURMA...was Be Upstairs Ready My Angel
