Re: MPs wages ???

I know it's an old thread but there is news!

"MPs’ £3,000 Pay Rise Scrapped Following Backlash"

"The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (Ipsa) on Friday ordered a pay freeze for the next financial year instead of the £3,300 pay hike after coming under pressure from MPs."

Due largely to Dehenna Davis, Conservative MP for Bishop Auckland and her campaign. Nice one DD.

Good show. After all, MP's are public sector workers and their pay increments should reflect the norm.

Am sure that, despite the populist view to the contrary, that they work just as hard and become just as knowledgeable/specialised in their field as most other public sector employees. So they should be awarded accordingly.

Re: MPs wages ???

If MP's DO work just as hard and become just as knowledgeable/specialised in their field as most other public sector employees so they should have a BIG TIME pay cut as should most if not all public sector employees.

Bunch of wasters playing office politics and "games".
