I'm sure I wouldn't have joined any forum before official retirement age if it hadn't been for those circumstances. However, once you've done it, that's it isn't it? Hooked to forums forever
to some degree or another.
Strange isn't it, Mart?
I mainly joined because I work nights and organise my work in such a way that sometimes I have free time to do other things, so I joined the forum.
There are actually no "general conversation" forums on the net at all unless it's for over fifties, except specialist ones which are dedicated to specific subjects. In other words, there are forums for anything from bodybuilding to technology to dementia and they all have a general area but that's it. No websites exist for the 40-55 age group. The big gap from the students sites to the over 50s is glaringly conspicuous. Maybe I should be out doing other things, I dunno!
And folks, I'm not being ageist here, merely discussing why only people over 60 like to chat.
All of my best friends are over 60 too and we enjoy some great chinwagging when we meet up for a drink.
Maybe I'm old before my time but you guys keep me feeling young! Perhaps it's because I had older parents than my schoolfriends had?
Whatever, I do enjoy it on here for the most part.
