Effing curtain rail

Why we never get things done.
We want to move into the main bedroom it's a new extension .
It lacks curtains .
We buy a curtain rail .
Custom made to suit metal
It was by no means cheap
It takes a time to come
It takes forever for Mr M to put it up .
It doesn't work .
We call the shop
They come around in a few days
They fix it
We put the curtains up
It doesn't work with the curtains up
They will come again next week
It just goes on and on .
Everything I try to do these days takes twenty more steps .
Nothing ever goes right .
How difficult is it for an effing curtain rail to work ?

Is it one of them pull cord curtain rails?
Otherwise I cant see why a good yank of said curtains won't work!
