Encourage her to go for a drum kit. Relatively easy to learn and...

A trombone, well it could have been worse couldn't it

Can you not put a silencer on the end, cotton wool, tea towel so it does not sound so loud. If not

Good luck Julie

Reminds me of Corrie when Amy McDonald brought home the violin. It was awful!
But played well, it's a beautiful instrument.

Well just be thankful she didn't come home with the bagpipes...!!
You could always ask Santa for some noise cancelling headphones

How about a triangle? Easy to play and, with the substitution of the steel striker by a plastic one, really quite quiet!

Re: Say a prayer lol

Reminds me of a Laurel and Hardy scene in one of their films. They were busking outside a window and an awful racket it was too. The window flies open and a woman pops her head out. "How much do you earn per street?" the woman asks. "Around fifty cents" Ollie replied. She says, "Here, here's a dollar, go and play two streets down"

It's making some very odd noises already and I predict complaints from the neighbours !
On the plus side, the dog will be exempt from blame for the family farts, from here on in.
