Yes I agree Alan, it got a bit much. However, I also do not like the way the judges 'play' with these kids emotions, I think it's all wrong the way they wind them up pretending to be 'undecided' whether to keep them or not. Don't like that.Re: X-Factor :- Singing Contest or Crying Contest ?

I didn't watch X-Factor for the last three years, but have been watching it this year and, unless you've watched it from the beginning and seen and heard the emotion the contestants have put into this from the start, then you have to realise how important it is for these people, be they young, or older.Re: X-Factor :- Singing Contest or Crying Contest ?
I watched it and in my opinion some are too young. The girls for instance are 16,17, and 18. That is a very young age to be laying your future on the line. That's when I think the term of I have been wanting this all of my life falls a little stoney for me. I always wanted a horse and never got one but it didn't ruin my life. I think I would be chuffed to death just going to the Judges houses and pleased to see Louis doesnt take them to Ireland nowadays. That became a very non surprise. I think the groups and the boys are very strong this year so we wait and see how they get on with the live shows.Re: X-Factor :- Singing Contest or Crying Contest ?

I agree with much of the above, and also wondered why on earth they are flown business class??? It's like saying, "This is how good life can be if you make the grade, and what you will miss if you don't." I think particularly some of the young ones will be given some false values in life...
