Froth

Are you getting enough?

I was feeling all frothed out, what with brexit buzz feeds and associated leadership fever. Then I bought a nespresso machine with free frother, our lunch guests were unimpressed, they've left early, to the nearest costa presumably.

Are you OK with froth?

Re: Froth

Nope.

I usually end up with a "frothy" moustache ...so I spoon it out of the mug now.

Re: Froth

Love my Costa machine, love my Latte served in a very wide shallow white cup with matching saucer. It turns out lovely and frothy and always leaves a caramel coloured moustache!! yum.

Re: Froth

Yes, I like froth, not keen on the word though.
Do you do little designs on yours d00d?

Lettice Leaf had a teacher called Miss Froth in some comic I used to get when I was young.

Re: Froth

I use a traditional espresso pot on the stove which was about £5-6 on amazon and a bodum manual frother jug which cost £11. There is no space taken up on the kitchen counter, no complicated cleaning and no electric plug. The frother jug is great, you just plunge a few times and it's like a regular latte. I guess if you want to make it for a dinner party then it's maybe easier having a machine. But for coffee for two it's great just using old fashioned manual techniques..

Re: Froth

Always steered clear of Nespresso and other pod machines. They're just a way to tie people into buying inferior coffee through the benefit of convenience.

Good coffee provides on the packet the date when the beans were roasted.

Re: Froth

Love my frothy coffee but I make it myself with a milk whisk. I refuse to pay for a machine to do what I can easily do. I started doing coffee this way over ten years ago, and I've had no complaints about it, just the opposite.

Re: Froth

I'd like a proper coffee machine and may get around to buying one someday when funds allow.
I drink Nescafe decaf instant at home and strong Kenco at work. This week I have given up milk virtually so I'm trying to get used to it black. I love a nice cappuccino too but that is very milky and gives me a groggy throat, so I limit myself to that.

The only other time I foam at the mouth is on here
