Caribbean Holidays

Has anyone here been to the Caribbean on holiday?

I'm looking at possibly going next year but I don't have much to go on because the whole market is huge!

I'm thinking of three weeks, maybe island-hopping or something along those lines - any ideas? stevmk2

Re: Caribbean Holidays

Fly to Miami and then book a cruise on Carnival Criuse Lines. They take you to many islands for about 800 dollars a person all included. Prepare to gain weight because they give you tons of food onboard

Good point.

Went there in 1977 and a day cruise a few hours on I think was the Bahamas which was included in the price.

Understand now that you can have a few days in Miami and then a weeks cruise.

PS don't go between August and end of Oct.

Well you wore out your welcome with random precision, rode on the steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions, come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!

Re: Caribbean Holidays

Carnival Cruise lines with the opening of relations with Cuba is starting a cruise next week to Cuba. Price about $1800 per person. Sounds expensive to me. I ask, why would someone book a cruise to see a rundown police state island ?

Re: Caribbean Holidays

I love Barbados. I went there for my 60th and hoping to
go for my 70th.
I stayed at the Barbados Beach Club in the Christ Church Parish.
Its all inclusive and really loved it there. Haven't had the dosh
to go back since. They do have trips from there you can book
and we went on a round the Island tour. Then a 4 hour trip
on a catamaran to feed the Turtles. That was great. Met some nice
people from Canada, USA etc.
My Sister did go on a cruise last November around the Carribbean
for three weeks. She visited nearly every Island in that holiday.
So hope you find something soon you like as it does get booked
up quickly. Don't forget not in the Hurricane season.
