Yes, Pauline, I do it all the time. It’s my upbringing! Waste not, Want not, was the motto!

I too often result to this type of thing, especially when the container is pump controlled, e.g. face creams, etc. Like you say, it is surprising how much is left in the bottom.

No I don't do that but I do turn containers upside down to get the last drop out.

Like Meg, I turn containers upside down but that is a good idea of cutting the bottom off the container. 💡

I may try that

Re: Getting the most from your,

I cut the bottoms off things and turn them upside down too.

One thing I have issues with is Tresemme shampoo and conditioner bottles. They are so large I have trouble squeezing them (arthritic hands). So what I do is.....I save and clean my old salad cream and mayonnaise squeezy bottles then I decant the shampoo and conditioner into them. That way I can squeeze the big bottles with 2 hands while directing it over the smaller bottles. And these smaller bottles are easier to squeeze with one hand when I'm in the shower.

Once I've used what's been decanted I cut the tops off the original bottles and scrape the rest out into the smaller bottles.

I COULD buy the smaller bottles of each but it works out more expensive...and I'm tight
