I know I've said this before but...

…I hate the M25!!!! And today the M23 was its partner in crime. It took three hours to get from Brighton to the M4. So now five hours since leaving Brighton I am only at Cardiff. Still, plenty of time to get to Pembroke and the seas are calmer tonight. And I do now have a car full of stuff including some dog treats for Bennie

Motorways are seemingly a quick way to getting from A to B, but not always quick as you've found. They can be a pain sometimes

We avoid them as much as possible these days filled with chaos and lorries they often take far longer to get places than using the A and B roads.

I'd do anything to avoid the M25, but have had to give in at times. I live at the bottom end of the M11 (almost) and am not really a fan of that.

Because of his job my husband is on the M25 about 6-7 times a day, drives him mad a 20 minute journey often means he is on the flaming road for a good hour. Makes him late almost every day.

Did you hear about the guy who wanted to go up the M6 but found it so crowded he went up the M3 twice instead?

True story - man back in the 90s was spending weekends driving round the M25 for fun, he loved it I wonder sometimes if he still does it

I also try to avoid them when possible, but to travel from Pembroke Dock to Meopham and Brighton is a long way to go on minor roads. And actually, it seems that most of the A roads en route at the time were also clogged up. Fortunately the M4 was fine.

A new concept of fun. Or a sign of madness?
