Anyone want any pears ?

I stripped my pear tree this morning. This is my best crop ever.

I had a similar amount of apples from my tree....the thing is though I don't like apples and I love pears !

Anybody want any horse manure, seems not, too late it is being spread on the fields as the maize has just been cut. Horrible crop blocks out the views.

My brother has a very large garden which produces more than they can eat, store or freeze. He takes his spare produce to a lovely restaurant and gets free meals in payment

They are Conference Abby. They came off the tree easy enough but are as hard as iron. It will be a couple of weeks before they are nice and juicy

They look super Alan. Lovely size and all very consistent. My wife would have them in a flash and set about making jams and chutneys with them. If we ever move to a bigger house with more of a garden we'll definitely have fruit trees to feed her chutney making obsession . . . errr enthusiasm !
She makes 300-400 jars at a time ! It creates the most fantastic smell in the house on "Chutney day" but frustratingly you can't eat any of it until weeks later !
