Westie Watch !

One of my friends/neighbours has gone away for a few days and I have been given the privilege of looking after her little Westie. Having always been a cat person this will be a learning curve - for both of us! I will have to become used to walking about with a pocket full of little black bags and the odd dog biscuit - or two.

She is a delightful little dog with a lovely nature and cheeky gleam in her eyes - and she seems happy to come on my 'Going Wild in June' forays.

It is amazing how many people speak when one is out with a dog.

I have been given detailed instructions of feeding times/amounts - but any tips from the forum dog owners would be welcome.

Sounds like you are doing just fine ST.
Just follow the owners instructions as she knows her dog best, and enjoy each other for the few days you have together.

It's a different world when you become a dog walker. The people you meet, mostly other dog owners/walkers. On your regular walk, you will soon become friends with these people.

I have a 13year old Westie-they're great little dogs(not a bit bias).Enjoy your time.

I would love to have a Westie of my own - especially if it was a replica of this one - she really is a joy. Not sure how my two cats would feel about it though !

The cats would soon get used to it. If not, get rid of the cats. Dogs are more fun.
