It's a combination of brainwashed and headstrong students, internet 'trenders' and the new wave of do-gooders who are hell bent on everything being "new-PC" and anything old hat and/or practical common sense being thrown out. They are making way for this new type of "person".
I'm thinking we are now only one step away from total manipulation by a media-controlled government.

It all sucks and like it or not, it probably began in America.
The only thing l disagree with in your post Floydyb is where
it all started? I think it started in uk when colleges became
universities?

Re: Freedom of Speech

I've just seen this comment somewhere on www.order-order.com

When you're discussing the LBTGTXYZETCETC you can either -

Get it right, in which case you pick up some unexpected Brownie Points, or -

Get it wrong, in which case you will trigger a Rabid Lefty

Either way it's a win - win situation

Singer Sam Smith wants to be known as they/ them and not he / him.
Apparently it is not only confused about gender but also about numbers.

We have never had quite so many nutters in this country.

At one time, they were diagnosed as mentally unstable and 'put away' for their and everyone else's protection.

Now... they walk among us.

Re: Freedom of Speech

Eamonn Holmes was slated for using the word "uppity" with some calling for him to be fired!
Maybe we need a weekly update of words that are now considered to be offensive.
On second thoughts make that daily.

I don't think he caused upset with his use of the word. Rather that he had the tenacity to use "uppity" to describe the attitude of Me-again Markle!
