More interesting than spectacular, this is the 'Red Well' at Whitehills. Said to date from Roman times, it was one of the series of 'wells' along the Scottish coast that were supposed to have medicinal qualities. These became popular with travellers 'taking the waters', but in recent years have been declared unfit for human consumption by the health & safety brigade.

Sluggan Bridge. We had a lovely walk there today. Came back a different path that was like an obstacle course ..great though

The wee toty white bit in the centre of this pic was the daylight at the end of the path we walked through to get back to Lochanhully. Blink and you'd have missed it!
