Re: Bread Maker?

Ive just seen this thread and I love my bread maker, before being bought this as a gift I had never made bread and now its a constant thing. Its simple to do takes no more than 5 minutes to set up, weigh out and start. One good thing too is I know every ingredient that has gone into my bread and it tastes delicious.

Just finishing off cooking a poppy seed loaf as we speak. ... just add soft and runny camembert and a glass of dry white wine ..........perfect

Re: Bread Maker?

we have a bread maker, what we like to do is make bread rolls, so we just use it to prep the dough, then split the dough into rolls.

I also prefer to use fresh yeast which our local supermarket
give you free

Re: Bread Maker?

Some bread machines are better than others. My first one, the dough would rise beautifully every time. Then suddenly sink. Although the part of the loaf we could salvage, always tasted amazing.
My second one always work perfectly.
If your bread is prone to sinking, try putting a weight on the lid. It could just be the heat escaping through a badly fitting lid.

Re: Bread Maker?

Of all the gadgets I have and I have a few in my kitchen my bread maker is the one thing that I have used the most. When we lived abroad I used it every day for different kinds of bread. I would set it to make dough and then bake as rolls when we came home from the beach for breakfast and serve them with fresh fish we had brought back.

I love my bread maker, Lidl sell one which is the cheapest of the lot about £39.99 and it has been a little treasure.

Re: Bread Maker?

Can anyone offer any recommendations as to which bread maker they think is best?
