Well the computer thingie steers it don't it. You are free to do your nails, hair, chat on a mobile, and whatever else women tend to do that is dangerous whilst they drive.

Re: Driverless Cars?

If they are driverless would you still have to take a driving test?

Re: Driverless Cars?

Another point - how would it know what the speed limit is in any given area?

So presumably you have to input your intended destination into the computer beforehand? Sposing you change your mind part way through the journey and want to stop off somewhere else? Now if they have a voice controlled comp that would take verbal instructions...

Driver: car, can you stop at the library? Then afterwards take me to Morrisons? Oh, and I must drop off that parcel at the post office. Then, if I have time....

Car: sorry, I didn't catch that. Can you repeat, please? I was too busy trying to avoid the idiot who just walked out into the road in front of me.

You get my drift.

And I don't 'do' nails. Sometimes don't even 'do' my hair! Times I've left home without combing it, having forgotten. Just run my fingers through and it'll have to do.

Re: Driverless Cars?

What would happen if the car did have voice recognition, and "fly me to the moon" came on the radio?.

Re: Driverless Cars?

Sometimes I wonder what is going on in this world?

Surely money could be better spent elsewhere such as making hybrid cars more affordable for the average person.

We already have computerized cars & ours is a '99! Are these driverless cars still gas guzzlers?

Whoo boy.
