Yes I've heard that before. Mind you, not much use having a spare stocking if you don't know how to fix it round the fan belt. I suppose I could always stay in my car until you come driving by, but I might peg it before then.

Thank you for all the sensible suggestions of help folks, I think it if keeps doing it, or gets any worse, I'd best pop it down the Fiat garage and let them have a look by the sounds of it.

If you drive a Fiat Mups it is probably the engine exploding.
