Eye twitching

My right eye has been twitching on an off now for a few months and it really gets on my nerves. Anyone know what might be causing it? It doesn't hurt but it is most annoying, it seems to be doing it more these days. I don't really want to see the doctor with a twitchy eye. Just thought I'd run it by here to see if anyone could tell me what could be causing it.

Re: Eye twitching

Get it checked out and if it can be sorted it won't be annoying you anymore.
I wonder if anyone thinks you are winking at them

Re: Eye twitching

I'd had a nerve twitching in my eye for 6 months and the doctor gave me tranquilizers to calm it but they didn't work.

I decided to feed the nerve instead with vitamin B. I bought some Brewers yeast tablets and took a small handful every day.

Within 3 weeks it went completely.

Re: Eye twitching

I went through a period of time where I had a twitch just below the eye, the soft area....it was so annoying, then one day it just didn't do it anymore. Somebody told me it was a tic but I never did go to the doctor to see. I don't like going to doctors.

Do you drink a lot of coffee LQ as too much caffeine could be a cause?

Re: Eye twitching

Mine only does it when I'm tired or stressed, GP was completely unfazed said at least 50 percent of population gets this and only time to really worry was if it hurts, or the skin is puckered, other than that a simple tired tic will come and go as it pleases.

Re: Eye twitching

It's called a blepharospasm and mine starts with stress. Had it a few times over the years and it's a good indication of the state of my mental health.

My GP said I could have botox for it if it became too annoying but once I realised it wasn't sinister I ignored it and it went away.
