Bournemouth Airshow

Anyone going ? I am travelling down tonight. Spitfire, Hurricane and a B17 started today and again on Saturday from 1200.

Wish I was! Missed out on decent accommodation. My usual hotel was closed and upon reopening someone nipped in quick and booked the room I wanted. They are but a minute walk down to the upper prom, near the cliff lift. And They had a balcony from which I could watch the display if desired.

Must book early next year.

We have the Portrush air show tomorrow.

We share with Ayr so not sure what's coming this year. Depends on the weather usually

Jazzi, I am staying with friends and going out on their boat to watch tomorrow , My youngest wants to be a pilot, so saving up for the fees !

As I've briefly mention elsewhere, have a great weekend there, Titus. I used to assist with the Waddington air show when I was based there and got chance to get involved with all the aircraft and mingle with the pilots.

I used to be involved at Biggin Hill and Farnborough when I was with BA.
Jazzi, I have a PPL still, just cant afford to fly very often.

I had to stop about 20 years ago, not long after buying my flat. At the time I couldn't afford to keep current.

It's sad, that the Avro Vulcan Bomber will never fly again at an air show, or anywhere else.......
