It's a great shame, but he's not gone yet is he?

One of the best things I've ever seen on TV was his "Audience with..." from 1985, Still extremely funny. Here's an excerpt:

I like him too. He's not only a very funny man, but also a brilliant actor. I loved Quartet & What We Did On Our Holidays. Mrs. Brown also.

I have been to see him live twice and I have to say he is the only comedian that has had me crying with laughter.

I was never really a fan of Billy Connolly. His vile joke about Ken Bigley really finished it for me. I don't know if the Bigley family ever received an apology.

Unfortunately, that did it for lot of people. He just went too far by mentioning a specific name whereas normally it was just general observations. I think most comedians slip up at some point in their career.

Agreed, the Ken Bigley joke did it for me and after that I had no time for the man. He's as bad as a paedophile to me.
