Seedy.
Why do I/we get banners from Ad Choices for all these Romanian brides , on line scrubber dating and Chinese women needing attention . Is it something I have done somewhere that has polluted my profile ( can't think what) or does everyone get this rubbish on their screen. ?

This has been mentioned elsewhere. If you don't have a Google Account then more than likely you will see website adverts generated by the content of the page, whereas if you do have such an account you will get adverts related to your Google search history. For instance I recently searched for Forex Trading and because I have an active Google Account ( I have many in fact ) my searches are now being used by them to generate adverts. Even though I deactivated my searches from being used by Google on most of my accounts it appears one or 2 are still active. As a result of this the adverts on this site show Forex Trading adverts for me! How creepy is that

For example let us suppose you worked for that charity that is trying to protect our children from pornography.
You would have probably entered 'pornography sites' into Google and the systems around the world would pick up on this and start blasting you with adverts from pornographic sites.
The advertisers call this 'targetted advertising' but as usual they have got it wrong, it is unwanted and not requested intrutions into ones personal space.
Azz also runs a site called Dogsey which is for dog owners and on that you can pay a small fee and have all this unwanted advertising blocked, but for some reason that is not an option on OFF (I think he once said it had to do with different software suppliers but I might have got that wrong)
