Sunday Mourning

I regret needing to start Sunday's morning's news with a death in my family. My brother-in-law passed away yesterday from a blood infection he developed during knee replacement surgery. Joe was 74 and leaves my sister, Barbara and 4 adult girls and their families behind. He was in such great pain his last week the doctors could do little to relieve it. Hospital infections such as Mrsa and staff are real killers these days. I feel most for my sister who lost her best friend and husband of over 50 years.

So sad to hear your bad news Bobmielke. I am very sorry for your loss and, of course, your sister's loss of a lifetime partner. I hope she lives near to you and that you will be able to help her through the difficult time she now faces.

Unfortunately I live all the way across the United States, 3,000 miles. We me just losing my job and being unemployed I won't be able to join my family for the funeral. My sister, Barbara, will not be alone as her 4 daughters and their families are with her.

Very sorry to hear that Bob,
The hospital infections are rife here too, unfortunately my dear MIL died from one last year, whilst she was hospitalised suffering from lung cancer.

May your memories keep you close together always.
