Re: A Friend?

These favors sometimes are inconvenient but I do them cheerfully because - he is my friend.

What a perfect description of a `friend`

Over the years we make and yes lose friends but true friends, and they are few will put themselves out when times are such that it may be inconvenient

Re: A Friend?

Sounds like a proper user - and I definitely wouldn't help her be a 'backyard breeder' - I really don't like the unethical breeding of animals. Was just telling someone to have a good think about breeding her dog today too. 'Oh she's gotta have one litter'

Why why WHY do people still believe that! My best friend insisted on letting her cat have one litter; no matter how much I explained, she did, SIGH!!!

Re: A Friend?

It`s total twaddle but something us `more mature` folk grew up with as the `lore` according to our olders and betters?

A cat needs one litter, even if we drown the kittens-bloody idiots

Re: A Friend?

I think when it comes to cats - they say it out of 'selfishness' - if it's a moggy. If it's a dog, or a pedigree cat - I think they just try to use that to justify the reall fact, some extra money!

I think we need more stringent rules, like Sweden - where the breeder is responsible for the life of the animal!

Re: A Friend?

I once had a `pedigree` cat. The late Conker, his mum was known as `allotment Lilly`fancy a good time amongst the beans sweetie?

His dad was known as rhubarb Tom.

His blood line could be traced to that moment just outside a greenhouse
