Sun, Sea and Sandals .....

Ok, so the topic does not actually match the Title, but it sounded good!!

Given a choice would you prefer .....

to live close by the Sea?

in the middle of the Countryside?

up in a Mountain region?

Or the City life with all the bright lights?

For me Countryside wins hands down!
Although I like hearing the sound of the Sea and seeing the beauty of mountains.

City life?

Regards,
Rainbow

City girl born and bred; country and beach lovely to visit but would never contemplate living there.

Re: Sun, Sea and Sandals .....

This is tough, because I love all!

Lived in the city, loved it and then wanted to move to the country side.
Moved to the countryside/mountainous area for a good few years - now want to move back to the city

Would love to live on the beach at some point too - but I think I'd want to swap and change every few years

Sea ... every time, (it's usually near some countryside anyway?)

Re: Sun, Sea and Sandals .....

I think I am blessed with everything.

10 mins to the beach, 5 mins to the mountains, countryside as I step out of my front door.

I grew up in the concrete jungle and was always eager to go camping in the Lake district close to where I live now.
I hate the hustle and bustle of built up areas and I do not find the people as relaxed and friendly as they are in the peace and quiet of the countryside.

The Rat race they can keep it.

Re: Sun, Sea and Sandals .....

Im looking at the sea as I type, if I look out the back windows its very rural and across to the right are the mountains. If I want a bit of city I go & get some and then i'm fine for several months. Im a country liver & lover and that wont change.

It's countryside for me too,
I live in the outskirts of a very small town, but Manchester is only 40 mins away, and I have countryside all around me my husbands ideal would be to be living in Italy and growing olives lol

Re: Sun, Sea and Sandals .....

I grew up in a small village, then lived in a city for over 20 years before moving back to a small village.

They are so very different and each with pros and cons
