Re: Are you alone this Christmas?

My wife and I have Joey and Benny to look after plus the squirrels and birds in the back garden so nothing different there unless we can get the squirrels to play 'Hide the Acorn'. We will be seeing my son in Australia by means of Skype. I will also be in here to exchange pleasantries with anyone needing some contact. I will be easy to spot, I will have antlers and a big red nose.

I'm lucky and usually manage to avoid Christmas for the most part. I can't think of anything I'd dislike more than having to socialise with people for hours on end.

This year, being retired, I can't actually go to work like normal so instead I'll be decorating the kitchen (with paint, not bloody tinsel)

Oh I understand Nicol, but do log on if you want company. X

Tiff I will be around to play. X

Re: Are you alone this Christmas?

We have quite a few members who live alone who have enjoyed Christmas Day here on the forum as far back as I can remember. Quite a few come on here to chat and enjoy themselves like any other day .... fun, laughter and free from arguments.

I will not be here for the most of Christmas Day but will look in Christmas morning to say 'hello'. Save me a mince pie please.

Re: Are you alone this Christmas?

I will also pop in Sweetie, we don't really do Christmas unless the family drive up for a few days, living on a farm we still have to see to the animals, though other work gets left. Weather permitting we will head off for a few hours with the Clydes, they enjoy a hill trek, then come home to a roast and all bits that go with it. If we can't get out then we will be here all day and as I said I will pop in at times.

Re: Are you alone this Christmas?

Years ago I bought my first musical keyboard and stayed home Christmas Day while my husband went to see his parents. It was the best Christmas I ever had.

I don't think I have ever been alone Bratti.
I suppose some people like to be.
