Re: Life Expentancy

All my Paternal & some Maternal relatives lived to be well into their 80's/90's. Being a smoker who knows how long I'll get!

Not knowing when your time is up... is the reason l don’t spend too much time sleeping, than the six hours, l sleep at night.

I want to be awake to appreciate and savour every second of the time l have left, as at some point l will be permanently asleep!

Re: Life Expentancy

My mum died at 47 and she'd had cancer twice by then so I went through a stage of not really sure whether I'd even make it to 50 or not! Especially as my old dog died around the same time and I got really bad depression for a period.

Luckily I had another younger dog who got kinda of dragged me through the other side and before I knew it I'd made it to 50!

I think watching a TV program about elderly people who were really fit (over 70's doing body building and marathons etc) that kind of gave me hope especially realising at the same time I had nearly made it 50 without getting cancer. Since then I did loads more research and my physical ability has improved (and the depression) and I'm definitely feeling fitter and 'more able' now in my 50's than I was in 30's and 40's!!

so hoping 'the only way is up' (health improving-wise) as the song goes!

I don't know what the stats are, and they're always wrong anyway.

Well I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my grandad did, not screaming like his passengers

As long as I make to 66 I'll be fine. Don't like the idea of being denied my state pension after I've paid in all these years.

The shortcomings of Numerology have worked well thus far.

Re: Life Expentancy

I was sickly kid. Some thought I would die but I didn't. I got ill aged 40. Some thought I wouldn't make old bones but I have. I'm now mid seventies. I've got energy and expect to go a few more years yet.
