Carpet Underlay

Hi

I am changing some carpets.

Just lifted part of the lounge carpet, the underlay is SCS Comfi Step, not cheap.

It is described as Luxurious and the lady I bought the house from left all the receipts

It was fitted 6 years ago.

It is as flat as a pancake and has crumbled, it is like powder in the fingers.

To be avoided..

Watch out for carpet moths.

They ate some of my underlay and areas of carpet which were hidden under units.

Had to have the area treated, last year, and then bought carpet which is moth proof.

Only occasionally saw any moths flaying around.
