I miss my Renault 5 Limited (over here it was called the Monaco I think) 1.4lt. It went like the proverbial off a shovel and very reliable too.

I wish I still had the first Scimitar GTE purchased second-hand in 1977. It was a 1973 3-litre V6 with far more torque than the next one, a 2.8 V6 which I bought new in 1984 and still own. The later one is more 'comfortable and refined' than the older one, the most 'modern' luxury is that it has electric windows and power steering! Strangely though is not worth as much as the older one.

The Triumph Herald was a super little car, class act, good performer, or was it a bit girly? I loved mine.

And this thread has got me thinking about the Vauxhall Cresta, what a motor! The smoothest ride ever ....

I've had a lot of cars but the one that always sticks in my memory is the Wolseley 6/90. Bought it in England in 1963 drove it around for two years before shipping it home to NZ.
