Fairy story?..who's the fairy?..If you're referring to the sisters that's not allowed any more.

Yeah I know mate. It was a lame attempt at levity. I think the whole film is a metaphor?..parable?...one of those. About friendship mainly and just plain old being brave. I mean that's just my opinion sir. I'm sure you would have worked it out for yourself. All I ask is 3 bottles of suds for each of my coworkers

Re: Film The Shawshank Redemption

I watched it again last week as it is on my recorder.
As where he got the clothes from, they were the wardens that he took, and they were in the plastic bag that he was dragging behind him.
The poster on the wall was attached at the top only.

Re: Film The Shawshank Redemption

After seeing this film advertised on TV for many years, I finally got to see it recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. Of course, it is fiction but then aren't most films?

The poster would have been sucked back on to the wall as air was trying to escape through the hole - have you ever lit a fire using a shovel and a sheet of newspaper to `draw` the fire? The newspaper clings to the fireplace opening purely by suction, while shovel was used to stop the newspaper being sucked up the chimney.

If you look closely, he had a bag of his clothes secured to his waist by a cord.

I've only seen it once years ago, but remember it quite vividly, so must be good.
