Re: Cornflakes and mince

I would freeze it without the Cornflakes - add them when it is defrosted and ready to cook - otherwise they will go soggy. Everything else will freeze OK.

Re: Cornflakes and mince

Thank you both

Tabby, yes I think you have a good point about the cornflakes. Will save them for when defrosted.

Hopefully I'm going to make some next week for the freezer.

Susan.... yes curry paste would make it nice, if you like it. It's all a matter of personal tastes isn't it. I'm not into curry's. Let's just say we fall out

Question for someone/anyone:

Will this freeze well? I mean with the cornflakes and beans in.

Replies will be gratefully received
I am sure it will ,beans freeze well & cornflakes are cornflakes.
I would give it a go ,I would .

Re: Cornflakes and mince

Quick update:

Memories....isn't it funny how our memory can let us down.

I remember this dish as being tasty. It isn't. It's bloody awful and I've got 3 more portions in the freezer. It's left a feeling on my teeth like I've eaten rhubarb. Horrible.

Re: Cornflakes and mince

I was going to try it for a change....won't bother now....just had a thought instead of cornflakes maybe a crisps topping would be tastier ?
