We have found mouse droppings in the kitchen cupboard and had to wash all plates, bowls etc... So thats told us its either come in through the door or back of sink area.
I prefer a dead mouse, no point in catching and then releasing the thing again.

Re: Mice

Not seen a mouse inside since I have lived here. And I no longer have a cat so no `presents ` either. I could not kill a healthy one nor even a rat. Did too much of that in a previous life.

I would never kill any animal on purpose. They have just as much right to be here as us. I certainly couldn't bash something to death. I agree we can't have mice and rats running around the house though so a humane trap is the best way to go.

I once ferried seven rats from my garden to a local wood near a picnic area so they could at least find discarded food.

Now give me a terrorist and I would gladly smash their head in.

Sun flower seeds, OldgreyFox.
Think those must be too, because in no time we had a family of mice there under the floor boards, cure, let next doors cat in & he sat for hours in front of the hole, he did catch a few, then the rest left.

Re: Mice

I haven't been in my greenhouse for a while and thought l'd better check it today.
I always keep two small watering cans with water in them and proceeded to water a plant that looked very dry. As l poured the water, there was a dreadful stench and the water was green!
I went outside to empty the water out of the watering can and out plopped a dead mouse... Eeeek, l need counselling!

Re: Mice

We have got fields all around us and every year we get mice. When we had cats we never noticed them so much but since both of our girls have died we have to get rid of them ourselves.

The other week we was sat looking out the living room window and there brazen as anything was a baby mouse in the middle of the garden looking around for food.

Here we go again.
