If You're Wondering Where Twink55 Is?

I think most of you know that Twink, slipped and fell last week injuring her wrist. It has been very painful and the pain wasn't subsiding.
To cut a long story short, this morning, she got a taxi to the hospital. and an X-ray showed that her wrist is broken and the bone is quarter of an inch away from where it should be. It has now been plastered and she has to return to the hospital next week to see how it's healing.
If it isn't healing properly, she may have to undergo surgery. At the moment, things are difficult for her as being right handed, she is totally out of action.
As you may be wondering where she is as she can't post on the forum at the moment. I said, l would let people know via a thread as it's easier!

Hi Art I didn't know Twink had a fall

Breaking a wrist is one of my nightmares, living alone it can make life very difficult. I hurt my wrist, hip and knee in a bad fall a couple of weeks ago luckily I fell on grass (and sheep poo) so no breakages. Falling really shakes your up as you get older.

I do hope Twink will be better soon.

Oh Art, please tell her that gives me no joy.
But yes it's a hard lesson to learn.
Also she needs to go back and tell that bloody useless nurse ( post515 in Art's Bistro thread) who advised her to get her flipping useless act together

Aww that's a shame,hope You recover well and soon Twink....You'll probably be sent for a bone density scan at some point too...I know Folks like You and I who like to give advice...are not good at taking it

Sorry to read this. Having broken both wrists (separate occasions) in the last five years, and living alone, I know just how difficult it can be. I managed far better when it was my left one, due to being right handed.😏
