I’ve been watching all the re-runs of “Scotland Yard” on Talking Pictures, I’ll still never know why they call the place Scotland Yard, it’s neither a yard nor is it in Scotland.
I do remember a “Fabian of the Yard”, a Hardy Brush of the Yard, and a Woody Mangle of the Yard, he was a very upright fellow that Mangle laddie.
My granny also kept her mangle in the yard, she loved it dearly and looked after it very well, she had a crush on it, almost lost two fingers.
