Late OH & me on our Wedding Day in 1966. We were married nearly 50 years.
We got married in a registry office & had a modest reception at a local pub, because my Dad said we could either have a really plush wedding or a cheaper one & the money saved to have that for a deposit on our first house, we chose the latter.
