What a bunch of miseries!

It is not to my taste but it does no one any harm and they probably have fun doing it. Our local paper puts up the addresses of houses with spectacular lighting displays so others can take their kids to see them.

Why not? it only happens once a year.

Bruce we have a competition this year in our village for the best dressed Christmas house....the idea is that because we can't have our usual Christmas lights switch on party there will be a family walk past all the houses I'm thinking of doing something not sure what yet.

Re: Is This Christmas Section Going To Be Empty This Year?

Well! Seems we are doing the Charity Christmas tree this year for the NSPCC, at the Theatre Royal Plymouth. Daughters Boss sponcers it & we decorate it. I am surprised as the theatre has been closed, (I guess is is open for some things), good for the charity.
If it hadn't been happening it would have spoilt ours & others unbroken support. Think this is the 10th year.

Last years tree.

Re: Is This Christmas Section Going To Be Empty This Year?

I don't think I ever enjoyed Christmas, too much shopping, decorating & cooking, but it was nice to see children opening their surprise presents.

It has become too commercial and competitive now, so I just cook us a nice dinner & let the cats play with their Stinkies.

Many kids now already know what they are getting... so where is the surprise on opening their presents?

I really hope the lock down doesn't stop people who live alone from having some company though. There is nothing worse than people watching things on the TV and wondering why they can't have company to share a nice day.
