Re: I Want to Start a Crusade.

I don't think they could build urinals big enough - well someone had to say it?

I'm still trying to figure out how the hell one would use a urinal, unless I'm not like other women.... hmmmm perhaps I'm not, can't say I've actually seen any other women peeing.

I think you'd need to sit in them like a car seat facing the wall!

[this is getting to be a really interesting thread!]

Re: I Want to Start a Crusade.

I think I must be doing it wrong - don't women always sit facing the wall when they pee?

Anyway, I can't support this crusade of Alan's. I like our ladies toilets and am prepared to wait in line if necessary. What should happen is that all the men's bogs should be converted over to be the same as the ladies are. Then, they too could enter into a civilised environment. I like the ladies loos where there are flowers on the worktop, piped perfume wafting through, soft décor, soft tissues, mirrors to touch up makeup and hair, baby changing facilities for the mums to use and the individual privacy to do the necessary. Who wants to have to furtively pee down a smelly old sink, while being disconcertingly aware that somebody maybe watching to see if yours is bigger (or smaller) than theirs.

Cheers for that MB

Actually I posted a long diatribe recently about "public conveniences"
I concluded with the observation of a recently retired GENTS loo attendant who said the loos were frequented by individuals doing anything but that for which the loos were designed,
"In fact, when someone came in for a crap it was like a breath of fresh air"

I t6hink that this little tale is apocryphal.

This is the story of sweet Sonia Snell
To whom an accident befell
It happened as it does to many
Poor Sonia went to spend a penny
IN the properly appointed place
Provided by the railway station
there she sat in meditation
Unfortunately unacquainted
that the woodwork had beem newly painted
THis made poor SOnia realise
HEr inabilty to rise
THough she struggled pulled & yelled
She found that she was firmly held

ANON (falsely attributed to Cyril Fletcher)

There's more but I can't remember any of it

I've never actually sat in a car seat facing a wall, never driven into said wall and don't have a garage, but if I'm sitting in a seat why do I need to face the wall. I didn't know we can pee straight down (was on TV last night). When I bought his first potty for baby son I was impressed with the backrest, mum told me it was a shield to stop him peeing all over, I decided it was a bit too wide and might hurt him having his legs stretched so far apart so filed it down. Mum made me get a new one said he could hurt himself. He never used it , only to get round the room on fore he learned to crawl.

Re: I Want to Start a Crusade.

I think we should treat this problem like the equalising of pension ages and just remove the urinals from mens loos. Instant equality they will be queuing to use their cubicles just like we ladies do !

Hazel said - "I didn't know we can pee straight down"

Last time I looked it seemed as if was peeing straight down Hazel, but I could be mistaken. Do you mean we women can pee sideways or straight up in the air or even in pretty circular patterns perhaps. I'm intrigued Hazel.
