You flaunt the rules, cheat the system out of £45,000 and then try your best to hinder the enquiry into your behaviour and what happens to you. Well, if you are a member of Cameron's government, you have to repay just under £5,000 and give a brief public apology. Maria Miller should at least be sacked.

Very neatly swept under the carpet. That will probably be the end of the matter. Stinks. You get the feeling they are all up to something with their expenses so they would rather let sleeping dogs lie.

I have a feeling it's more about sexism he can't get rid of her or he will be down to just 4 (believe that's the number) women in the government. Quite damning if that happened.
Although in the fight for equality I would suggest she should go and the party should address the lack of women separately.

I think she should go, can't do with this 'not enough women' thing, surely a politician should be appointed on their ability to do the job, be they man, woman or orangutan........ sorry orangutan oops!!
There again if ability to do the job counted we'd be 650 less, yaaaaaay!!!!

She should be sacked, there is every chance of a police investigation yet, this will do DC more harm than if he sacked her.
To be honest the man is gutless, he isn't strong enough to be PM.

This whole episode is yet another disgraceful example of the disdain in which we the public are held by politicians of all parties. There is nothing "Right Honorable" about Maria Miller and she should have been sacked immediately. I agree that Cameron is as gutless as he is arrogant, although that just seems endemic of the species these days...

Maria Miller should have been sacked .Cameron needs to remember there is an election in 2015, he retains her at his peril.

Think this is the first MP who has had to apologize to the House who did not resign straight after.
