Never look back on the Year that has goneHistory can never be changed
Look to the future and move right on
To a history that you can arrange
Resolutions never seem to get fullfilled
As full comittment is rarely there
But love of family and friends can be milled
IF for them you really care
Make only a promise you intend to keep
Take this chance to start anew
Make people laugh dont make them weep
Do unto others as you want done unto you.
So with this single wish to my friends
I wish for this next year to be
Not just Happy, Prosperous and bright
But everything that you want it to Be.

Let go of the old year
Once the clock strikes twelve
The old year is consigned to history
The yearning hand reaches backwards
Grasping the security blanket of the familiar
Today is already rushing on a pace
But the spectre of the old year survives
Its ectoplasmic grasp weak but still palpable
It will be fixed in time as a fly in amber
Remaining unchanged despite our regret or longing
Forward facing we must walk through today
To attain the promise of a new year
Reluctantly unclasping hands we let go of yesterday.
