Vacuum storage bags

Has anyone used them?
I remember using them years ago and they re-inflated and became brittle and split. Looking on Argos website the customer reviews are no help as some say they're wonderful and some say they're rubbish.
What's your experience? Have they improved ? I need to store bedding and have very little space, they'd have to go into the loft, so need to be moisture proof too!

I think they've probably improved TessA. I've had blankets stored in them for 3 years now and they are fine.
I no longer use blankets but can't bring myself to throw them away. They come under the heading of 'Things that may come in useful'

I know what you mean! I have a shed full of (I'd like to say garden tools) wool! Just in case!

Never had any luck with them either split open or sink
