Bluetooth portable speakers

Anyone got them?

I have a couple.
You would really not believe the quality and volume of music that some of these can produce. Quite incredible how technology moves on.

Re: Bluetooth portable speakers

I bought a cylindrical pair, similar to base tubes but tiny.

Utter crap, I was ripped off.

I must get some real ones.

The ones shown are:

Sony SRS X-55
Creative Roar 2

I'd give the edge to the Sony in sound, but only just.

I'm a bit of an audiophile I suppose - still have me full blown separates system, high def portable player etc.

These are great though, as you can move them from room to room as necessary. They will run around 10 hours on the internal rechargeable batteries, or you can run them from the mains.
Also, as they are bluetooth, they'll connect to your laptop / tablet / phone etc.

However, these things were a real surprise. Kinda have to be heard really.
They will easily fill an average living room with (loud) sound.
For their size, the sound detail is stunning, even in tracks where there is a lot going on like a lot of Floyd stuff for example.
The bass they can produce is amazing for the size as well. A combination of electronics and the sub-woofers.

The Sony has a rear facing sub-woofer and the Creative has two side sub-woofers. You can see them move as the music is playing.

I've just had some Bose fitted in my car.
Had them on my boat too.

I firmly believe they are amongst the best in the Workd.
Great quality.

It's called a Soundlink Mini. They had cheaper ones in plastic but were told the metal ones gave better sound.

Great quality.
I agree to a point, but I feel they are overpriced.

Yes, the mini.
They are pretty good and you rarely see a derogatory review tbh.

I was originally tempted by the Soundlink 3. However, I thought (imo) that the Sony in particular sounded just as good at half the price.
I think Bose tried a bit too hard on the electronically enhanced bass, to the point it stifles the detail a bit.
