Better by Hand!!

I always hand wash Woolen Garments, and Cashmere,
Alpaca, and Silk by hand and they last for ages.

Modern Washing Machines do have a Wool Cycle but there is a very slight shrinkage and the machine is on for 30 minutes.

Why so long? I can quickly wash a woolen garment and rinse in five minutes.

I can't wear wool garments, they make me itch & I can't afford Alpaca or silk.
I think cotton is the best. I have a lot of cotton tops etc & some man made, but not nylon.

Azure, It depends on what mood l am in. Sometimes l wash delicate things by hand but then there are other times when the turn of the dial on the washing machine is so simple and effortless.
It’s like having a maid!

Re: Better by Hand!!

It's not the hand washing that's the problem, it's the length of time they take to dry if it's not decent weather and you can't hang them outside. Who wants dripping clothes in the house?

Tiffany, I find wool itchy as well, and buy cashmere ,alpaca in the sale, or knit them.
They last much longer than acrylic
